MIGHTY MESSENGERS

More than
hot flashes.

Hormonal changes can show up in places women don't always connect to perimenopause or menopause. Your cycle may change, but so can your sleep, temperature regulation, mood, sexual health, cognition, muscle, bone, and heart health, and the way your body feels day to day. The question isn't whether every symptom is hormonal. It's whether hormones are part of the pattern.

Sleep

Falling asleep is different. You're waking earlier than you used to, waking through the night, or sleeping without feeling restored.

Mood

You feel more irritable, anxious, emotionally reactive or less resilient than you remember being.

Brain

Words are harder to find. Your concentration feels different. Memory or mental clarity isn't what it used to be.

Sexual + vaginal health

Libido has changed. Sex may be uncomfortable, or vaginal dryness, irritation or urinary symptoms have started showing up.

Temperature regulation

Hot flashes, night sweats or suddenly feeling much warmer than you used to.

Cycles

Periods become shorter, longer, heavier, lighter, closer together, farther apart or less predictable.

Muscle + body composition

Your strength, recovery or body composition is changing despite habits that previously worked for you.

Bone health

You want to think proactively about maintaining bone strength as estrogen declines through the menopause transition.

HORMONE HEALTH

You don't have to wait until menopause
to ask about treatment.

Perimenopause and menopause are different stages of the same hormonal transition. Where you are in that transition helps inform our decisions, but treatment is based on much more than a date on the calendar.

PERIMENOPAUSE

Hormones are changing.

Perimenopause can begin while you're still having periods. Cycles may remain regular at first or become increasingly unpredictable as estrogen and progesterone fluctuate. Symptoms, cycle patterns, medical history, contraceptive needs and your goals all matter when deciding what treatment makes sense.

MENOPAUSE

The transition continues.

Menopause is reached after 12 consecutive months without a menstrual period. Symptoms can continue well beyond that milestone, while declining estrogen also becomes relevant to vaginal, urinary and bone health.

The calendar matters. Your symptoms, history, risks and goals matter more.

THE ARÉVIDA DIFFERENCE

Hormone therapy
is a prescription.
Not a protocol.

Two women can arrive with the same symptom and leave with different recommendations.

Hormone therapy should never be reduced to matching a symptom with a medication. I want to understand what you're experiencing, your medical and reproductive history, your risk factors, what matters to you and what else could be contributing.

For one woman, systemic hormone therapy may make sense. Another may need localized vaginal therapy, a different medication strategy, further evaluation or an entirely different approach.

When hormone therapy is appropriate, treatment may include bio-identical estradiol and micronized progesterone, testosterone DHEA, vaginal hormone therapy, or other treatments selected according to your symptoms, history and goals.

As a board-certified Family Medicine physician with advanced bio-identical hormone replacement therapy training through WorldLink Medical Academy, I prescribe, monitor your response and adjust treatment as your needs change.

The goal isn't to put every woman on hormones. It's to make the right treatment decision for the woman in front of me.

Your Initial Hormone Assessment

$795 · LAB WORK INCLUDED

Before we meet, I'll review your intake, symptoms, medical history and relevant health information. Your included laboratory testing is selected to help evaluate the clinical picture and may include reproductive hormones and other markers relevant to your symptoms and history.

During your visit, we'll connect those findings with what you're experiencing, discuss the benefits and risks of your options, and determine what care makes sense.

02

Your treatment plan

If hormone therapy is appropriate, we'll create an individualized treatment plan and your prescriptions will be sent after your visit. You'll have secure messaging access for questions, symptom updates and dose-related concerns for 30 days following your visits.

03

Follow, reassess, adjust

Hormone care isn't set once and forgotten. We'll meet quarterly to review how you're feeling, assess your response, repeat laboratory testing when clinically appropriate, and adjust your treatment as your needs change.

WHEN IT'S MORE THAN HORMONES

Sometimes hormones are only
part of the picture.

If hormone treatment doesn't explain the whole picture, or you're also dealing with fatigue, weight resistance, digestive concerns, metabolic changes, thyroid concerns or patterns that make treatment difficult to sustain, we may need to widen the lens.
