Frequently Asked Questions

  • Arévida integrates conventional medicine with a systems-based understanding of health.

We consider the interactions between physiology, lifestyle, environment, stress, and life experiences when developing care plans.

Appointments are intentionally longer, allowing time to explore patterns and contributing factors that are often overlooked in time-limited settings.

The goal is not only to address symptoms, but to understand the context in which they arise. You are required to have a primary care physician. Dr. Zulianna Ibrahim offers functional medicine consultation only and does not function as your primary care physician. You must have a primary care physician for yearly physicals, wellness visits and for after hours or urgent care purposes. We do not respond to urgent requests of any sort, including messages or phone calls, you must have a primary care doctor for this purpose.

  • Arévida is for individuals who:

    • Want thoughtful, unrushed clinical decision-making and a clear, structured path forward

    • Are done feeling confused, lost, defeated, and let down about how they feel

    • Are ready to look at the full picture of their health including the thoughts, patterns, and behaviors—not just symptoms

    • Value having direct access to their physician outside of appointment times

    • Are willing to take an active role in their health, within a supported, structured environment

  • Arévida is designed to deliver what traditional healthcare structurally cannot: time, access, and precision.

Instead of rushed, reactive visits, you receive:

    • Dedicated physician time to understand your full story—not just isolated symptoms

    • Strategic, data-driven testing—only when it adds meaningful clarity

    • A plan that integrates into your real life, not one you have to force yourself to follow

    • Ongoing refinement and support, so your care evolves as you do

Most importantly, you are not left to navigate your health alone.
You’re investing in faster clarity, deeper care, and a physician who has the capacity to truly think about you.

  • We do not accept insurance.

ARÉVIDA is designed to provide a level of depth, access, and personalization that is not supported by the traditional insurance model.

Insurance-based systems are designed around time limits, coding requirements, and reactive care models.

By practicing outside of insurance constraints, we can offer longer visits, thorough analyses, and a more comprehensive, relationship-based approach to care.

Patients may still use insurance for labs, imaging, medications, or specialist visits when applicable.

  • Treatments are personalized and evidence-informed, and may include:

    • Comprehensive lab testing to guide decision-making

    • Hormone replacement therapy, nutrient repletion, metabolic therapies when indicated

    • Lifestyle and nervous system support to address the deeper patterns and internal narratives that may be limiting your efforts

    • Regular follow-up to adjust and refine your plan strategically with Dr. Ibrahim

The goal is not to layer on unnecessary treatments, but to identify what will have the greatest impact on your health and performance.

  • Dr. Ibrahim sees patients in Florida and California.

  • Arevida is intentionally designed as a virtual practice to meet you in your busy—so you can integrate your care into your life, not around it.
